Daily Explosion

Most people think that they have a good concept of what "self" actually is. But in reality, there seems to be some unknown, unseen force inside of us. Think of it like this, you can observe your own thoughts in a similar manner to the way you can observe other people's thought and objects... If this is true, then who is really inside of us doing the observing?!? Does this concept of a force inside of ourselves explain why humans feel the need to reach out to third parties like religions and myths to find a greater power?
