Brain to Boomtown Ideas

This is the first post in segment where I will post mind-blowing/cool ideas that I have come across in my adventures...
Imagine a state of reality where our world is only an illusion of the truth that exists in an alternate reality, a reality of nothing but darkness and one giant, hovering, red button. A reset button. Had a near-death experience? Well this theory would state that that near-death event really was an event where you died. In fact, you could die many times a year. However every time you die, the illusion of reality as we know it fades away into the truth that is the darkness realm. There you get to hit that reset button and it gives you another chance at life, taking that car accident or cliff diving adventure gone wrong away and erasing all memory of it. Of course, you would only be able to perceive of this alternate state of darkness when you are in the realm. One day however, those reset's will run out, and your soul will remain in the true realm of darkness for all of eternity in what we call death. What happens when a death is out of our control you may say, for instance in the case of a murder? Well this theory would state that in the event of one's reset capabilities being stripped from them, the soul would remain, waiting for its resets to be used up, thus explaining why we have ghosts/apparitions... Pretty trippy right?! Post comments/ criticisms below...
